Reviews and Ratings
The hotel rooms were a mixed bag with some downsides like a smelly and small space with a door that didn't close properly, but they redeemed themselves with clean, large, and pleasant rooms. The location was decent but lacked attention to detail, suitable for those visiting Kataragama and offering local cuisine options. The service was excellent, with very supportive and kind staff, while the dining experience fell short in terms of value for money.
Despite the spacious family room with working AC, our stay was tarnished by the poorly maintained condition and the issue of only a trickle of water coming out of the shower head. The hotel's location near Katharagama Devalaya is a plus, but cleanliness should be improved.
My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, just as seen on the website. The service was a bit hit or miss with only a few standout staff members being really helpful. The location was ideal for those visiting Kataragama, offering a good vibe and easy access to local attractions. The dining experience could use some improvement, especially with the breakfast options. The facilities were decent, but there were a few areas that needed attention.
I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The family room was clean and tidy, equipped with efficient air conditioning. The rooms were very clean and beautifully maintained. However, the price could be more budget-friendly.
I was pleasantly surprised by the room, which was cheaper than the deluxe room we originally booked. It was up to standard as per the pictures on the website, and I loved that it was separate from the main hotel building. Having access to a small balcony was a nice touch.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were somewhat disappointing with a leaky toilet and sewage smell, feeling quite old and shabby, although they were as expected based on the website pictures. On the bright side, the service was friendly and attentive, but there seemed to be some issues with arranging activities like the safari. The location, close to Kirivehera temple, was peaceful and quiet, perfect for those visiting the temple or Katharagama shrine. The dining experience was a letdown, with prices in US dollars and below-average food quality. Despite these drawbacks, the facilities were decent.
My stay at the hotel in Kataragama was a mix of positive and negative experiences. The rooms were large and comfortable, but there were issues with the AC and shower. The service was excellent with a kind manager despite some language barriers. The location was ideal for visitors coming for Pooja, close to Katharagama Devalaya and local attractions, although lacking attention to detail. The dining experience was not satisfactory with limited options and payment in US dollars. Overall, the facilities were decent but could be improved.
